When Brian Young started Young’s Lobster in the 90s, he had one goal: to create something that would support his local fishing community for generations to come.

He made sure the seafood was purchased wharfside, straight from the local men and women who caught it just minutes or hours before.

The Young’s operate a state-of-the-art processing facility and live lobster holding facility right on Deer Island ensuring quality product year round.

He instilled in his children the value of supporting your neighbours — because a rising tide floats all boats.

Tradition Lives On

Today, Young’s Lobster is a Young family legacy. Daughters, Tabatha and Sheena, are at the helm.

We want to make sure our coastal traditions persevere through whatever unchartered waters the future holds. Streamlining operations, supporting local fisheries, and promoting sustainable catch are all part of that.
